Local TV: Whats On(line)?

i read this interesting article from ClickZ that draws attention to the importance of local news stations and the use of their websites. obviously advertisements run on the TV during the local news but this article sheds light on the fact that there is proof that ads on these station's websites are very effective. not only do these sites give you the information that you would find on the local braodcast but they also offer career pages, horoscopes, and lists of community events. this is also a very good way to segment the market geographically as pretty much all the sites readers are from the area in which the station serves.
